Tender Regulations

For work, goods and services tenders that fall within the Special Sectors of Water and Energy, Acea adopts contractor selection procedures pursuant to Part III of the Sole Code for Tenders – Leg. Decree 163/2006. For the assignment of public works tenders of amounts inferior to the EU threshold,  Acea SpA has adopted, pursuant to Art. 238, paragraph 7 of Leg. Decree 163/2006, its own internal regulations in compliance with the principles established by the EU Treaty on protecting competition.

Tenders of any amount are called through the submission of an invitation letter to businesses qualified on the basis of the relative Qualification System, where in place; for tenders that do not fall within the sphere of application of Qualification Systems or in the event of delays to the activation of same, contracts are assigned via public procedures in accordance with industry regulations.

As part of a policy aimed at ongoing improvement and in order to guarantee the maximum transparency of relations with companies, Acea SpA has adopted a “Code of Ethics”; this Code establishes a series of values that inspire Acea SpA in its role of Contracting Authority and which, at the same time, it demands from the businesses with which it interacts, with the broader aim of operating on the market in a “virtuous” manner.
