Innovation and transparency in dealings between the Acea Group and Suppliers

Acea establishes and implements procurement policies for goods, services and work for the whole Group, and ensures its single control in complete compliance with the regulatory framework in force. The Company uses calls for tender as the main method to identify suppliers and adopts the utmost transparency in its tender procedures. To this end, in 2003 it adopted the Code of Ethics for Tenders which sets out the collection of values which the principal and companies which have dealings with it must use in their work.

In 2004, with the adoption of the Group Code of Ethics, Acea once again turned to the issue of dealings with suppliers, by setting out the principles of transparency, integrity and the safeguarding of ethical aspects in supplies, all criteria which determine the choice of suppliers, as well as the obligations and rules of conduct for staff who handle procurement. Companies which take part in the tender procedures are requested to expressly accept the aforementioned codes of ethics.
