Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics, adopted in 2004 and renewed with the 2012 edition, is a public declaration of Acea’s pledge to pursue the highest possible levels of ethical conduct when seeking to meet its goals and, more generally, to share the values of a business culture in which respect for the legitimate interests and needs of all parties, individual or collective, that contribute to the company’s activities is fundamental.

The principles contained in the Code also seek to improve the efficiency of the organisation, orienting its target readership towards positive goals that can produce positive results both for the directly interested parties and for the working environment as a whole, through the improvement of internal and external relations and the emphasis on its good reputation.

Acea, also through the Ethics Committee, supervises the observance of the Code and adopts adequate prevention and control procedures and instruments to guarantee the transparency of the activities and conduct adopted, intervening consistently with improvement actions.

With the aim of strengthening prevention activities and activities to monitor the observance of the conduct outlined in the Code of Ethics and, at the same time, to guarantee the utmost privacy and protection of those that file reports, every employee has the means to notify the competent bodies of any behaviour that does comply with the principles and the criteria of conduct outlined in the Code.

Any reports relating to technical/commercial issues (e.g. claims over bills, invoices, letters, transfers, absences of water or energy, faults etc.) must be forwarded to the competent offices of the various Group companies via the specific channels and in the ways indicated in the information documents available to clients and which can be referenced in the relative sections of the various company websites.
It is also hereby communicated that reports not inherent to the principles protected by the Code of Ethics shall be ignored.
