For years, Acea has been committed to supporting health and prevention initiatives, such as Race for the Cure, an iconic event by Komen, while ensuring community well-being through continuous water quality monitoring.

Rome
Race for the Cure is the largest breast cancer event in Italy and worldwide, organised by Komen Italia since 2000. Now in its 27th edition, the iconic event for prevention and solidarity takes place in Rome, at the Circus Maximus, from 7 to 10 May, under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.
At the heart of the event are Donne in Rosa (Women in Pink), women who are facing or have faced breast cancer and who, through their personal testimonies, help raise public awareness about the importance of prevention.
Through this long-standing partnership, Acea reaffirms its commitment to initiatives with high social value and renews its dedication to health, the local area and the communities, in line with the principles of social responsibility and sustainability that guide its activities.
Acea takes part in Rome’s Race for the Cure with a stand in the Partner Area of the Villaggio della Salute (the Health Village), a space dedicated to engaging with the public and raising awareness about water education and the responsible management of resources.
The initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment, also carried out through the “Acea Scuola Water Education” project, developed under the three-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education and Merit. Acea is also responsible for the customisation of the Kids & Teen Area, with the aim of promoting the values of prevention and sustainability among young people.
Health is a precious asset. Acea promotes a culture of prevention through rigorous water quality control. Every day, Acea works to ensure that the water we drink is pure, safe and monitored. Through constant analysis and strict controls, Acea ensures that the water it distributes meets the highest quality standards. This commitment goes beyond a mere service: it represents a promise of trust to the communities.
In line with its values, Acea has been running the internal campaign "Previeni con Acea" ("Prevent with Acea") for years, offering free screenings for breast cancer and other conditions to its employees, in collaboration with Komen Italia. This initiative includes dedicated prevention days, during which over 500 breast, dermatological, and endocrine examinations have been conducted. Komen Italia has emphasized how the collaboration with Acea has had a positive impact on people's lives.
