Angelo Piazza has been a member of the Acea Board of Directors since 18 April 2023.
A professor at the “Foro Italico” University of Rome, he is also a practicing lawyer.
In the academic and professional field, he has gained experience and expertise in matters concerning public companies, local public services, public contracts and concessions, and with regard to urban planning, construction and energy and environmental law.
He has served as Board Member and Chairman of several companies. In particular, inter alia, he has been a board member of SAVE S.p.A., Sole Director of the company AMA S.p.A. and has served on the boards of directors of F2i SGR and Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A. From 2013 to 2020 he was a member of the Leonardo S.p.A (previously Finmeccanica) Supervisory Board.
He has held numerous institutional positions. He was a member of the Ministerial Study Committee, set up at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the transposition of European Parliament and Council directive 2014/24/EU dated 26 February 2014 on public contracts and for the simplification of the Public Contracts Code.
As part of his academic experience, from 2002 to 2012 he was a tenured professor at the University of Bologna.
He holds a degree in law from the University of Bologna and has written a number of scientific publications and essays on civil and administrative law.
