At the stand, visitors can discover the latest developments in environmental sustainability, innovation and circularity.
The stand features Feltro su guardrail by Giovanni de Cataldo, curated by Marcello Smarrelli: a sculpture that transforms a deformed steel element into a new form of expression, giving the material new value through reuse and transformation.
The choice to display this work is in line with Acea's principles and values. Through the language of art, the work offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting and enhancing the local area, promoting the circular economy and giving materials new life by transforming them into valuable resources.
You can find us at Pavilion D3, Stand no. 300-401.
At Ecomondo 2025, Acea played a leading role in defining and implementing strategies related to the ecological transition, efficient water resource management, renewable energy, and the circular economy.
Through its participation in technical and institutional panels, conferences and roundtables, Acea highlighted its role as a national player in the sustainable management of natural resources and brought its experience in circular economy projects, service digitalization, water resource recovery and environmental protection to Ecomondo 2025, thus contributing to discussions on a more resilient and regenerative development model.
Within the exhibition space of the Rimini Expo Centre, Acea was present in Pavilion D3 with conferences and panels on some of the Grouo's key themes: the importance of water resource, waste management, recycling, and the key role of a circular economy in the country's sustainable development.
During the second day of the event, the company also took part in the programme of the States General of the green economy: the climate challenge for goverments and companies.
On the occasion of the 2024 edition of Ecomondo, through Acea Ambiente, the company offered professional opportunities for sustainability and environmental innovation enthusiasts through recruiting activities.
the status of national implementation of PNRR priorities and flagship projects, the restoration and regeneration of ecosystems, the sustainable use of water resources, sustainable cities, the status of the circular economy in processes and products.
In the occasion of the 2023 edition of Ecomondo, the Group presents some activities of Acea Ambiente, which promote a development model that contributes to the transition towards a sustainable ecosystem, where industrial development is combined with respect and protection of the environment.
During the event Acea will receive, for the second consecutive year, the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) Award in the category "Projects involving the adoption of energy from renewable sources with a view to energy autonomy" with the project "Increase in the exchange surface of the condenser of line 1 of the San Vittore del Lazio plant” designed to improve the energy performance of line one of the waste-to-energy plant located in the province of Frosinone.
Giovanni Rosti, CEO of Acea Ambiente, received the award. The Group Company every year manages 1.7 million tonnes of wastes and it is one of the largest national players in this field. Find out more about the Emas award.
New life for plastic with the innovative plant under construction in Cittaducale, Rieti. It is the largest in central Italy and it is intended for the selection and recovery of plastic materials from urban waste collection. With an investment of 35 million euros, the plant will treat approximately 90 ktons per year starting from 2024.
Acea Ambiente has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Metropolitan City of Turin together with the Polytechnic of the Piedmontese capital for an experimental project on the use of recycled polymers, through which it is possible to obtain a new asphalt for road paving. The research aims to find innovative solutions capable of transforming polymers into sustainable, safe asphalts with high quality standards.
In the field of organic waste, Acea Ambiente has conducted research, in collaboration with the University of Tuscia, which has highlighted how the compost can have improving effects on both the production and quality of the land.
In addition to these new features, at the 2022 edition of Ecomondo there will be the occasion to introduce the following projects:
SmartComp: zero-kilometer biocomposting for the widespread and participatory treatment of organic waste produced by large users.
Waidy: the app for the protection of water resources
PlatOne: the pilot project for the creation of an energy community in the Centocelle neighborhood in Rome
Acea brings to Ecomondo 2021 its innovation projects applied to the circular economy including Waidy, the app for conscious water consumption, Urbee for environmental monitoring using bees as bio-indicators and SmartComp, the solution for obtaining quality compost.
