Ivan Dompé

Since September 2026, Ivan Dompé has been Chief Communication Officer at Acea, with responsibility for institutional positioning strategies, internal and external communications, events and brand management.


Before joining Acea, he worked at the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group within Global Strategy & International function, where he most recently served as Head of the Geopolitical Intelligence Unit, leading the team responsible for analysing international developments to support the Group’s expansion abroad. His responsibilities also included the opening of two FS offices in the United States. Prior to this, he was Head of International Communication Partner, responsible for external communications relating to the Group’s international activities.


From 2020 to 2024, he was Chief of Communication at Terna, where he was responsible for media relations, digital and social media content, internal communications and media management.


Since 2018, he has been an Adjunct Professor at Luiss Business School, where he teaches courses on digital communication and reputation, while also serving as Head of Communication at the School from 2018 to 2020.


From 2014 to 2018, he worked at Telecom Italia - TIM as Executive Vice President Institutional Communication, with responsibility for the Group’s institutional communication and reputation strategy. Among the projects he oversaw in this role was the listing of Inwit. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione TIM.


Between 2013 and 2014, he first served as Financial and Corporate Communication Director at YOOX Group, working with founder Federico Marchetti, and subsequently as Communication Director at AbbVie.


From 2008 to 2012, he was Group Corporate Communication Director at Luxottica and spokesperson for the company’s founder, Leonardo Del Vecchio.


Prior to this, from 2005 to 2008, he was Head of Media Relations and Internet Communications at Edison, overseeing communications around some of the key developments affecting the energy sector at the time, including the gas crisis and the launch of Italy’s first regasification terminal. From 2007, he also lectured on the Master’s programme in Media Relations at Università Cattolica.


Between 2000 and 2005, he developed his expertise in corporate and financial communications at Pirelli, holding a series of increasingly senior roles within the Group’s press office before becoming Head of International Press Relations. During this time, he managed communications for significant corporate transactions, including Pirelli’s investment in the Olivetti/Telecom Italia Group and the sale of its cable businesses, now Prysmian, to Goldman Sachs.


He began his career in communications consultancy, first at Ketchum, where he worked as an Account Executive and subsequently as an Account Director between 1996 and 1999, and later at Burson-Marsteller, where he became a Senior Associate in 2000, with responsibility for the Technology practice. Early in his career, he also contributed to newspapers and magazines, writing on economics, personal finance and entertainment. He has been a registered journalist since 1995.


In 1996, he graduated in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University in Milan.
