Bracaglia succeeds Pier Francesco Ragni, who was appointed Co-General Manager of the Group
Valentina Bracaglia, who graduated with honours in Management Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, is the new Chief Financial Officer of the Acea Group.
Born in 1988 in Frosinone, Bracaglia joined the Acea Group in July 2023 as Head of Group Planning & Control and, in December 2024, was appointed Deputy Chief Financial Officer, thereby supporting the evolution of the planning and control processes.
Within the Acea Group, she also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Acque S.p.A., Aquaser S.p.A., and Acea ATO2 S.p.A., contributing to the strengthening of corporate governance and to the financial oversight of these companies.
Between 2016 and 2023, she gained solid experience at Autostrade per l’Italia, where she held several senior roles within the Planning & Control function, with responsibilities that also included M&A activities. During this time, she served as a Board Member in several Group companies.
Alongside her managerial career, she also has a strong academic background. From 2012 to 2016, she carried out teaching and research activities at Sapienza University of Rome in the fields of Industrial Economics and Operations Research. During this time, she spent visiting periods at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of British Columbia. She is the author of six scientific papers published in leading international journals, including Transportation Research Part A and B, The Journal of Transport Economics and Policy, and Economics of Transportation.
In 2016, she obtained a research doctorate in Operations Research from Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis focused on the Strategic Behaviour of Multiproduct Airports and Air-Rail Intermodality.
