Acea is participating in the 47th edition of the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples, titled “The Love that moves the sun and the other stars”, currently taking place at the Rimini Expo Centre.

Once again this year, the Group is present with a stand in the exhibition area of the event, an opportunity to showcase the activities, projects, and initiatives that demonstrate Acea’s commitment in the sectors where it operates, placing water at the center as a resource to be understood, protected, and valued.

The exhibition space, shaped by an architectural structure inspired by the form of a water drop, offers a multimedia journey through images, videos, and in-depth features dedicated to the Group’s main activities: from the water service to public and artistic lighting, through to projects linked to the circular economy and environmental sustainability.

Inside the stand, visitors can discover the initiatives of Acea Scuola – Educazione Idrica (Acea School – Water Education), the program aimed at students and teachers to promote knowledge of the integrated water cycle, the protection of water resources, and the spread of sustainable behavior. A project that confirms the company’s commitment to educating new generations on environmental issues and which, starting this year, will for the first time also involve secondary schools, in addition to primary schools, throughout Italy.

During the event, Acea is distributing cartons branded “Ah2O!, l’Acqua di Roma” (“Ah2O!, the Water of Rome”), created to celebrate – through a play on words between the typical Roman exclamation “Ahò” and the chemical formula for water – the bond between the capital and its most precious resource, the same water that Acea delivers to citizens’ homes every day.

Particular emphasis is given to the Group’s historical and cultural heritage through the presence of the Acea Heritage Museum, which this year brings to the Meeting the story of MarTe, the underwater lamp patented in the mid-twentieth century: an innovation that marked the history of Italian monumental lighting, making it possible to illuminate the basins of historic fountains directly. A symbol of the encounter between technology, creativity, and the promotion of cultural heritage, MarTe remains today one of the finest examples of Italian industrial ingenuity.

As part of the event’s program of talks, on 24 August at 3.00 pm, Raffaele De Marco, CEO of Areti, will take part in the debate “The role of the Mediterranean in the global energy landscape”, which will also feature the Minister for the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin and will address the challenges of energy geopolitics, strategic infrastructure, and Italy’s role in the new international scenario.

Finally, at 7.00 pm on the same day, Giulia Giacometti, Head of Operations at Acea Acqua, will speak in the panel “The link between energy and artificial intelligence”, underlining how crucial the use of water is to the development of technology, and of artificial intelligence in particular.
