Independent Non-Executive Director
Alessandro Picardi has served on Acea’s Board of Directors since 18 April 2023. He is Chair of the Control and Risk Committee and Ethics Officer.
He brings extensive experience in corporate management within complex multinational organisations, including serving as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Mobilize Renault Group. He is also Chairman of VL Capital and Nexting.
He previously served as Chairman of FinLombarda Gestioni SGR S.p.A. and has significant experience in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.
He spent four years at TIM Group, where he has served since 2019 as Executive Vice President & Chief Public Affairs Officer. He has also been a Board Member of its subsidiary Sparkle S.p.A. Until December 2022, he was Executive Chairman of Olivetti S.p.A., with operational responsibilities.
From 2013 to 2019, he worked at RAI as Director of Institutional, International and Regulatory Affairs, and subsequently as Director of Strategic Platform Development. At the same time, from 2014 to 2019, he served as Executive Chairman of Tivù Srl - Tivusat, a free-to-air satellite television company owned by RAI, Mediaset and Telecom Italia.
Between 2012 and 2013, he was Vice President Corporate Affairs at Alitalia, and from 2006 to 2012 he served as Head of Institutional Affairs at Wind. Earlier in his career, from 2004 to 2006, he worked at Sky Italia as Institutional Affairs and Vatican Relations Advisor.
He has served on the boards of several companies and foundations, including Fondazione TIM (2019-2022) and Tivù Srl - Tivusat (2019-2022). During the same period, he was also a Board Member of ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies) and COTEC (Foundation for Technological Innovation). From 2015 to 2018, he served on the board of Auditel. Since 2018, he has been a Board Member of the Centro Studi Americani.
He is currently Vice President of Assolombarda-Confindustria. His previous roles include Vice President of Confindustria Digitale, Vice President of Asstel (Confindustria’s telecommunications association) from 2020 to 2022, Member of the Presidential Council and Member of the General Council of Confindustria Radio Televisioni, and Member of the Executive Board of Eurovisioni.
He holds a degree in Communication Studies.
